My expertise is in reactor design and process engineering for waste to energy thermal conversion – particularly gasification, or what are now (incorrectly) termed ‘novel’ Advanced Thermal Treatment technologies. Most of my work is on these systems, specifically assessing the technical details and rigour of permit applications, along with doing my own independent research. I have however worked on other renewable energy projects, such as the water-wheel at the old Allinson’s Mill in Castleford – believed to be at one time the largest water-powered stone grinding mill in the world.
In general, I am interested in any project that can provide local or community independence, encourage sustainability, protect nature, and help God’s earth. Some examples of my work are accessible via the Previous Projects and Publications links above, or by contacting me directly.
